The National Year of reading rolls on, and another page turns (groan).
In 1987 Lynda Page, who had was born and raised in Leicester, and who had never had any aspirations whatsoever to be a writer previously, began writing her first novel during her 45 minute lunch hours at work. The book took 18 months to complete and was snapped up by the leading publishers Headline, and she has been under contract to them ever since. Now divorced, a proud grandmother and a full time writer, Lynda lives in a village in Leicestershire.
She has twenty titles to her name, and is a firm favourite with many readers - and writers: 'If you want an enthralling read, read Lynda Page', says Martina Cole. Lynda will be appearing at libraries round the county throughout the autumn. Details of places and times are below. All the events are free, and all are welcome, so please come along and enjoy listening to a home-grown writer.
